The only project financially supported by the Asian Art Museum!  Employees of the museum were asked to document their work space during their paid 15 minute break.  The image was than made into a postcard, redistributed, and SpaceBi has been receiving correspondences that act as a snap-shot into the work day of the amazing people who make the Asian Art Museum run!

As a means of adding a more human element to the museum experience, the project 15-Minute Break seeks to alter the conventional use of the postcard as a form of remembrance. It comes as no surprise that many museum employees are artists and creators themselves, and to that end, the project will commemorate the places where many hours are spent in the service of larger arts institutions. Whereas the postcards on offer in the museum store represent objects of artistic merit, these postcards are a testament to this contribution of labor.

This project is co-organized by the good people at The Tenderloin Geographic Society
